What is CBD?
Cannabidiol or CBD is a non-intoxicating component of the cannabis plant with enormous therapeutic potential. Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the most prevalent chemical compounds in the hemp plant which may constitute up to 40% of the hemp extracts.
Once inside the body, CBD beneficially influences many receptors systems in the brain. These include receptors known for their roles in pain regulation, anti-anxiety, motivation, nausea, symptoms of schizophrenia, epilepsy, sleep disorders and many more…
Cannabinoids are natural chemical messengers that activate biochemical receptors to regulate and control various body functions such as temperature, cognition and mood. There are two types of cannabinoids: Endogenous Cannabinoids and Exogenous Cannabinoids. Endogenous Cannabinoids are produced by cells in the human body. Whereas Exogenous cannabinoids are produced outside of the body. Phytocannabinoids, a type of exogenous cannabinoid produced by plants like the hemp plant, are a natural source of these chemical messengers. There are more than 100 identified cannabinoid receptors in the cannabis plant, each with different properties and effects on the body.
The most well-known Phytocannabinoid, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), is the only cannabinoid which produces psychoactive effects. Which Native Sol has 0% of THC in them. Other cannabinoids found in the hemp plant such as cannabidiol (CBD) can provide a litany of medicinal health benefits without the psychoactive results.
